What I wanted to be when I "grew up" has never been a difficult decision for me. Design, in any form, has been where my heart is since I can remember.

 

I think what really makes those of us who choose to be designers different from other people is our natural tendency to observe each and every thing around us with such wide eyes. As a designer, I see details in everything that I do. I stop to appreciate the serifs in the "Good Morning" type on my coffee mug. The salad I eat for lunch will most likely be photographed and later used as a color scheme. My day to day life directly relates to my "job" and going to work for me genuinely means doing what I feel not only happy, but compelled to do. I live to make beautiful things.

I am a recent Graphic Design graduate from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh and am passionate about all things creatively driven. My professional experience through multiple internships and freelance work has given me the opportunity to grow as a designer, however, what really sets me apart is my genuine love for the field.

Surrounding myself with creative people who collaborate to create original work is such an exciting process to me, and for that reason every design related job I've had has left me eager to go to work everyday. I am looking to combine my talents in both design and fine arts with my interest in the process of branding to be a valuable asset to a creative team. Some things that I can definitely bring to the table are fresh insight, thinking outside the box mentality, and glass half-full attitude.

 

The small portion of time I'm not zoned into an Adobe program you can find me: Digging through every rack of a thrift store, eating any sort of Asian food I can get my hands on, running until my legs give out, feeding my current Netflix addiction, DIY-ing everything in sight, ranting via social media, or cooking yummy looking meals with more excitement to photograph them than to eat them.
